Jet Set Friend turned me on to LUSH at Fashion Island in Newport Beach and I have happily not been able to get away since. She warned me I was going to become a LUSHaholic, and while I just thought she was being mental, she was 100% right as always. In case you are a LUSH newbie or haven’t been to the store yet, LUSH Fresh Homemade Cosmetics is a beauty-Wonkaland where you instantly relax thinking of all the wonderful ways you are about to pamper yourself. From bath bombs + fizzes, to creams, and lip scrubs, LUSH is my not so guilty pleasure. Just walk into the store and you will see for yourself.
During our last trip to LUSH Fresh Homemade Cosmetics not only did we sneak away with Pink Bath Balm with heart confetti and sparkles, The Comforter Bubble Bar, Sunny Side Shimmery Gold (my fave) and Dorothy’s Tub of Bubbles, but then I discovered the Popcorn and Bubble Gum lip scrubs. Eeek. Not only am I addicted, so is Jet Set Kiddo. Not exaggerating. She applies the Bubble Gum lip scrub at least four times a day!
While I have yet to venture off into the skin products, I am a slave to their bath merch. There is something very Elizabeth Taylor-esque about lots of bubbles, colored water, and surprises of glitter or confetti hearts. And the scents. Oh, boy. The scents are enough to make you never want to get out of the tub. Jet Set Kiddo also tried, what else, the Coco Lotion and loved it, while eyeing the shampoo bars, but in a crazed rush, I forgot to grab one to try. That is definitely next on our Jet Set splurge list!
